Call of Duty: Mobile to get $100,000 Masters tournament

The event is planned for mid-June.

HQ

The next major tournament in the Call of Duty: Mobile esports scene has been unveiled as the Call of Duty: Mobile - Masters. This event is set to take place in mid-June and will feature a $100,000 prize pool split evenly between the two regions the tournament spans, North America and Europe.

In total, the tournament will feature 16 teams in both regions that will compete in league-style play over the course of five weeks. At the end of those five weeks, the top eight teams from both regions will advance to a Masters Finals, where there will be one per respective region. The winning teams of these finals will qualify for the World Championship at the end of the year.

The invited teams for this Masters event are to be determined by placement at regional Call of Duty: Mobile tournaments in 2020, tournament results and player standings. There will also be opportunities for teams to qualify through the Masters Open Qualifier that is set to take place on May 29-30. As of right now, we don't have a team list.

The Masters itself is set to begin on June 14, and will see matches taking place every Monday until July 12. Information about the Masters Finals will be revealed at a later date, but we can look forward to watching the action when it all kicks off over here.
